REMOTE FILE REQUEST allows machine operators to request a program directly from a machine control.

In general, this works when an operator sends a special program containing request information to the Easytalk system. The system then finds the requested program and places the requested program in que ready to be read from the control.

**Focal*Point DNC Software**

for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP

Focal*Point™ DNC software for Windows 95/98/NT/XP that can be used with a single machine or with a shop full of machines. Standard features include a NC-specific editor, NC program compare and remote NC program request.

Focal*Point features a built-in NC program database referred to as the DNC*Library. The DNC*Library is used in conjunction with a Parts and Operation database to manage outgoing and incoming programs by Part Number, Operation Number, Revision Level, and specific Machine Type. The DNC*Library allows users to manage and control NC programs in a natural way based on Part Numbers, Operations and Revision Levels. A key feature of the DNC*Library is that is allows machine operators to request NC program with long file names by using short ID codes.

The Parts and Operation database allow multiple file attachments. For example, each Operation may have associated CAD drawings, photos, and setup information. Each of which can be a viewable source file by using a graphics viewer.

To simplify program training and usage, the Parts and Operations database can be customized with your own field names using the Custom Form Labels Menu.
